Rafa Ribeiro (coaching with surf)

Rafa is an amateur surfer, enthusiastic photographer and ever-learning husband and father. His professional path started in software development and, after a few years, tried out the life of an Entrepreneur. It was much more difficult than he could have imagined, especially the human aspect of it. With those challenges in mind, he quit his own company and went for a psychology Post-Grad in Human Development with Expressive Arts, opening the “Pandora’s Box” of his mind, making him fall in love with the “peopleware” side of things, going for a Professional Coaching certification, dropping IT (at least work-related) and restarting his journey: now focused on agile, people and parenting. He currently acts as a Creativity and Agile Expert Coach Trainer, and fuses surfing with his coaching sessions, promoting the integration of body, instincts, emotions and thoughts for a better life.

About the Podcast

The Coach's Backpack
An insight into what coaches consider the most important tools of their trade
The Coach’s Backpack podcast asks a variety of coaches (from sports to comedy) what they consider to be the most important tools of their trade, physically and/or mentally.

They are only allowed to take limited items on a hypothetical new engagement: one book, one tool/technique/approach/framework, one other item of their choice … and a person to accompany them.
